		<description>Your IP address identifies your computer on a network so that it and others can communicate with each other. The network could be 5 computers connected to each other in your house, or it could be the internet.

Not a lot is revealed by IP addresses, although they can often be matched to a physical location. See http://www.ip-adress.com/ for some info that can be gleaned from an IP address.
